On a sunny afternoon, thousands of parents, children and elders came out to celebrate one of the biggest milestones in Narok County’s history: the opening of Baraka Hospital! As community members filled the hospital’s front lawn, they celebrated this proud and exciting moment with traditional Maasai songs and dances. As we celebrate with our friends in Kenya, we invite you to join in on the celebrations, because without you, none of this would have been possible. Your generous support and enthusiasm has transformed this dream into a reality for thousands of families in Narok County.
With the addition of inpatient services and a surgical wing to what was formerly Baraka Health Clinic, thousands of families who would have otherwise had to travel far distances to access quality health care will now be able to benefit from having a hospital nearby and feel more assured when a loved one falls ill. Together, we are saving lives every day and providing women and expecting mothers with transformative health care.
