Haiti: We're Going

Updated: May 7, 2022

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Berith Christian Fellowship (BCF) is sending a team to serve in Haiti. This is my church home, I have been a member for over 10 years. In-Joy Travel is making the travel arrangements and, of course, I will be a part of the team. This mission trip is for members who complete a one-day training course. We will be in Haiti on November 16th to 21st, serving at Christian Haitian Outreach (CHO). Berith has financially supported CHO for several years and has been eager to go there and be used where needed.

BCF was founded in 1999 by Pastor Rick and Rhyon Sherer. For me, it is a church of no nonsense teaching that is always based on the scriptures of the Bible. Pastor Rick encourages us to study and know the Word for ourselves. At Berith, you are challenged and supported to live the life that God has planned for you. If you are looking for a church, you can watch our service on Livestream on Sunday at 10:00 am. But, if you’re in the

San Francisco Bay Area, you are invited to come to one of our services. CHO was founded by Eleanor “Mom” Workman in 1974. Mom Workman gave a testimony at a Christian conference in July 2005 which was totally inspiring to me. Her testimony illustrated her strong faith in God and the power of prayer, by using both she was able to withstand the many obstacles in her path while creating the orphanage and school. She was 60 years old when the Father used her to bless the lives of the children and adults of Haiti. This is an exciting time for In-Joy Travel, there is more to come!

The photos were taken during my first trip to Haiti 2 years ago.
